RFQ checklist
- Send the architecture, BOM, I/O list and photographs of installed models.
- Mark each item as addition, identical replacement, compatible alternative or obsolescence upgrade.
- Provide firmware, engineering-software, program backup and network-configuration versions.
- State quantities, spare ratio, destination and planned shutdown date.

- Ordering by family and missing power supplies, terminals, bases, connectors or licenses.
- Hardware or firmware differences making software and network configuration incompatible.
- Treating component supply as system safety validation and omitting risk assessment or site testing.
Frequently asked questions
Can an existing BOM be quoted as one package?
Yes. Mark items that must remain identical and those open to alternatives, and include revisions so obsolete products can be identified.
Is cross-brand replacement practical?
It may be functionally possible but normally changes wiring, size, communications, software, approvals and commissioning; it is not a drop-in replacement.
